I have a Presario 6400NX with a 1800+ Athlon that I'd like to upgrade
to a 2400+, or 2600+. The mb is a FIC AM35 (VIA VT8375)KM266 chipset.
The only documented (that I could find) upgrade is to a 2200+.

Has anyone been able to get a 2400/2600+ to run on this setup?

2400, 2600 with 133MHz (DDR266) FSB should work, providing they
didn't set bios to unnecessarily halt if/when it couldn't make
positive ID of CPU. Odds are high enough it'd be worthwhile to
buy the CPU but buy from someplace with good return policy just
in case. If bios has a "halt on error" or similarly worked
setting, disable that, and flash newest 'board bios prior to
swapping CPU. Keep in mind that original heatsink may be
Compaq-unique and performance at cooling sub-optimal for a higher
speed, higher heat CPU.
