Just wondering if there is any way to see the files on my desktop if they
are shared through my handheld. As in playing mp3's that are on my computer
HD through my Ipaq.

With the built-in File Explorer, presuming you have network connectivity, open File Explorer and tap
the right most small icon at the bottom, ie. the one that looks like a "hand holding a trash can"...
Note that you can only copy-in-paste/cut-n-paste files this way...
You need a third party application like Resco Explorer or Netrunner to actually be able to open
network shares...
Note that Resco Explorer comes FREE with some PocketPCs including iPAq 5555 devices...
