Hi all. I've recently implemented WPA with RADIUS server. It works fine. The
user authenticates and they are connected. HOWEVER.....I have several Toshiba
laptops with built in wireless. When the users try to connect to the access
points they authenticate fine, but they won't aquire an IP address. I don't
understand why all wireless laptops besides these Toshiba's works fine.
Anyone who has an idea please let me know as Toshiba was not of much help.
Why can they authenticate, but not recieve DHCP???? Drivers and firmware are
both up-to-date.

Thanks,

Hi Dan,
Are they DHCP enabled?
Try to set them to "Obtain an IP address automatically", if you haven't done
already.
Good luck,
Engin

Yes. They are all set for dynamic IP addressing. The problem is, I have
found, is that I can't get the Toshiba's to use the "user" to authenticate.
They insist on using the PC to authenticate, thus they do not work. Any ideas?
thanks!

Does the Toshiba NIC send DHCP discover message? Does the AP send DHCP offer
message? Does the Toshiba have the firewall set up so that it blocks unicast
DHCP responses?
