Hi.
I have a Logitech optical wheelmouse on my hands that has been
entirely disassembled, and I can't seem to figure out how it all goes
together; the "big pieces" are obvious enough, but there are a couple
of fiddly little springs - which I _think_ are associated with the
scrollwheel - that I can't find a place for. Routing the cord so that
the case can actually close has been problematic as well.
Any suggestions?
(Aside from "never let a six-year-old get his hands on a #0 Phillips
screwdriver", I mean? )

Try contacting Logitech support and explain your situation. You may be
surprised how helpful some companies are in situations like this.

I'd say make sure he has plenty more things to take apart - feed the
curiosity.
