Loggin in with IE

Anybody having any problems lately logging in with IE? I use the same password as with Firefox, but cannot get in. The error I get says:

"Error F1: You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password.

Same thing happens at work, at home, and at a friend's house. I haven't changed anything with my browsers, like cookies, etc.

More about loggin
  1. I just logged in with IE 6.0.29 - seemed to work ok with me, but I do clear cookies often.
  2. Wish it was just that. Thought the net nazis had screwed me again, til I tried from home.
  3. I just logged in with IE (using it now) - I can log out and in without problems ... don't have a clue what to suggest, except to contact steve_sa.
  4. I heard steve is an uga boy. No way!
  5. Well then, try deleting cookies, temp internet files (cache), history and clear prefetch - then try it - I use this utility that does all that and more called CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) ... works great for me. I use it 3-4 times a day. With a name like Crap Cleaner - it should be right up your alley ... :D

    (Actually, it's my favorite utility)

Note: CCleaner doesn't clean prefetch - but you can without problems: C:*WINDOWS*Prefetch

    * put back slash here - this software won't allow a backslash for some damn reason 8O
  6. Crap cleaner? Oohh, sweet! :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: Gotta put that on the look-for list.

Yeah, some gay-arsed pansy bloke was complaining about the same thing as you are.

I told him to pay a visit to Auburn to work it out.

Get your POC ready, son!

P.S I'll never forget when you actually came up with that. I LMAO at that ingenious little term.
