Hi,
Does anybody know is there a utility that can allow all
the program to install on SD card instead of the Main
Memory? Some of the program must install on Main Memory
making my PDA always run out of memory.

Activesync does that - it can be found on the CD that came with your PPC.
Jut choose 'No' when asked about installing to the default location,
then choose where you want it.

Peter,
You can. However, certain programs may make your SD card unstable. I had
two programs installed on the SD. After using it for 4 days, the SD lost
the file index. (The memory is used, I could not see the file names when I
read the SD card with my PPC nor with my PC. I had to reformat the SD in
order to use it again.)

Eeeeeeh. Haven't seen that problem before. I've got several dozen
programs installed on the card. Of that, one wouldn't install there at
all, one ran too slow so I moved it back, and one would lock up the ppc
if running when the card timed out so I moved it back. They all try to
install off the card's root directory but I've only hit one that I
couldn't just move and then update the shortcut and/or registry entries.
But other than those no big problems. But it sounds like the "windoze"
rule applies here--backup before installing ANYTHING!!

So I am not alone. Recently, over half of the directories on my SD
card 'disappeared'. I tried several XP utilities to read the card in a
USB card reader, but no luck. Luckily I had a backup copy. I have also
had files names being replaced with strange symbols and the data being
inaccessible.
I thought the problem was related to my 512M PNY SD card being over
half full, as I have jpeg's and mp3 files on the card. It almost
seemed that every time I went past 256M on the card the problem
appeared.
This led me to wondering if the card could be partitioned into two
drives and if they would be accusable. That way I could keep the
storage jpg and mp3 on a separate partition.
Anyone any comment?

My theory is that the problem occurred with me after pulling out the
synch cable while the card was being written to.
