I have a 'open with' on the right click on my desktop, but can't remember
how I got it. I need it on my laptop to open .nfo files that windows thinks
are system info files. Any suggestions?
thanks,
Colin

I don't know, but the way I do it is to drop a shortcut for the
app that you want to use into the 'SendTo' folder. For example I
use Notepad for reading .nfo files, just right click and send to
Notepad or whatever app you want to use.

If you download Damn NFO viewer it will associate with nfo files and you
will then view them correctly.

Yeah, I've used it but it's just as easy to associate them with notepad.

Hold down shift and right click, then "open with", "choose program" and
check the "always use ... " box.

Right click on any file
Choose "properties"
Next to "opens with:" click the "change..." button
Choose whatever app you want
At the bottom is a "always open this kind of file with this app" checkbox
3) profit
