Windows L.E. 2011 installation crashed computer

When I installed Windows Live Essentials 2011 on my new Compaq Presario CQ5621F with Windows 7, it seemed to load fine. I tried to access the internet and got no connection. When I rebooted my computer it suggested that I restore to an earlier time. Upon doing so it works fine again. Why would this happen ?

It is possible that some error occurred when Windows Live Essentials 2011 installed. I suggest the following, install Win 7 SP1 and then install Windows Live Essentials 2011 (with the apps you select). This should clear up any problems.
