I have an Intel D865PERLK, running Windows XP Pro, and I'm trying to find
the latest LAN drivers for its gigabit controller. At Intel's site they
specify version 8.0.65293 for this motherboard ...

http://support.intel.com/design/mo [...] _drive.htm

But the latest version appears to be 9.2....

http://support.intel.com/support/n [...] 006120.htm

Is there a reason they don't suggest the latest drivers for the motherboard
version, am I comparing two incompatible driver sets? TIA

The 9.2 intel pro drivers should work fine with this combo. I have
used them on numerous 865/875 boards with the Intel gige controller.
