Hi all,

Received this message when Desktop opened on start-up this morning.

'srvaxmat.exe has stopped working'

The Windows error reporting window also opened with the following info:

'Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Users\fredlap\AppData\Local\Temp\WERC975.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
C:\Users\fredlap\AppData\Local\Temp\WERE6F5.tmp.appcompat.txt
C:\Users\fredlap\AppData\Local\Temp\WERE773.tmp.hdmp'

I've restarted, and the same message appears.

I've searched the web but get zero results for srvaxmat.exe.

The location of the file is C:/Windows/SysWOW64.

As far as I can tell everything is working ok, but would like to know what the issue might be.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I am not familiar with that file either. Put your windows 7disc in and run SFC/Scannow in command line or boot into repair mode with F8 or startup and run the repair. The "syswow64" directory contains all the 32-bit info needed for compatibility.

It is also possible that it is malware. Run your AV targeting that folder.
