Hi everyone. My first post - wow! Am going to build a new PC as totally
hacked of with Evesham who have - no i can't talk about it , it''s too
painfull.
Anyway i thought i'd warm up/practice by upgrading my current PC which
has a Asus P4B533 motherboard which has a AGP4x slot . Looking at ATI's
website it says that a lot of their more modern graphic cards (my
current one is a 9700 pro - i understand this was sexy in 2002)will
work with AGP4x. However, will i be wasting my money if i buy something
optimised for 8x? any other advice would be more than welcome. The Pc i
am ugrading is a P4 2.7gig with 1mb of RAM.
I hope you don't get too fed up with my questions - i am truly ignorant
about the innards of PCS but after my expereince with Evesham i am
never going to buy a PC from a big company again.
Cheers!
