Opinions on these A3 printers?

Don't know.

The one we have is an HP1700C which is pretty good, but doesn't have the
most fabulous ease of cartridge refilling. Copes with reasonably heavy
duty use.

Before that we had an A3 Epson Photo EX but that was slow and a dog in
many other ways.
