just recieved a 1.6 ghz chip from a co-worker who never really used it nor
saw a need to keep it.

I'm wondering what motherboard to get for this. It's a 1.6 ghz, 256 k cache
and runs at 400mhz. from the spec codes on the chip it's a willamette and
not a northwood (sl5uj)

I'd like to get a board that'll run this chip and 400 mhz ram and 4 or 8x
agp AND get 333 mhz memory. Therefore my question is:::::

Will this 1.6 ghz chip run on a 848 P or 845G chipset board?

And neither should you. Those were very low performance chips and not worth
buying a board to put it on. Sell it on ebay and take the money to buy
something else, like a T-bred AMD if your budget is tight. A 1800+ Tbred
will run circles around that chip and is less than $50.

Plug the above info into the widget on this site and get a list of mobos.
Or go to the bottom of the page and click on intels own motherboard finder
and plug in the info
