i700 (and other) serial discoveries

First, http://TheSupplyNet.com has a serial cable/adapter cable for the
i700 ($40+sh)

Have determined that the native serial circuitry in the i700 and the
Dell X5 will work with serial gps without the additional circuitry that
is included in the adapters for the Dell and i700.

Considering an addition to my serial page with the information that I
have gleaned if the response is sufficient.
