Netmeeting woes

Here's a new one. Every time I try opening up netmeeting, the signal to my monitor shuts off, and wont' come back on! I know the computer is still working, I can hear the harddrive. All my drivers are updated along with the program versions, I'm stumped.

Even worse, if I try to use ANY other kind of netcam program the same thing happens. Once I double click it, the signal is gone and the computer must be restarted in order to get it back. Does anyone have any idea whats going on?

Might be a problem with:

1. your DirectX drivers (rare case..but still be).

2. IRQ conflict between your monitor and some other device...even your sound card may be interfering.

The second case seems more likely. Try booting your machine in Safe Mode and try to start some program like this again (don't think many programs with run in Safe Mode like this, still try it). If this works fine, then its most probably a driver/IRQ problem.
