I have a P55 Gigabyte motherboard, Win 7 home premium and a i7 860 CPU. My itouch has been having problem syncing since IO got my new computer and sometimes does not get recognized. Any ideas. Thanks

Is this the Ipod touch your talking about or some generic brand?

If it's the Ipod Touch, then it's probably this:

1. P55 not playing nice with Apple products, Apple has yet to respond to this. Usb controllers for the loose.(Reported on Enadget, however it's with the Iphone but since Iphone/Ipod touch share most of the same hardware it could also be an Ipod touch issue)

Make sure the connector isn't dirty, blow it out. Make sure the cable is nice and snug, are you using a dock? If so make sure the connection in the back is good, try a different cable. If all those work fine with another computer, make sure you have the latest version of itunes, 9.02 and latest firmware for your device.

You didnt mention what version of windows you have. Win 7 64bit is known to have issues. The list goes on and on but one of those should help you out.
