OKI C7300 smudges black not color

Our OKI C7300 printer smudges the print outs when using black and white. On
the short edge there is also toner marks like the paper should crash into
toner or something. Color works fine and even if only one character on the
page is in color the job gets printed OK.

OKI support won't help since our warranty has expired. I have tried changing
toner, drum and fuser but that didn't help. The transport belt is rather
recently exhanged and wouldn't a problem with that affect every print job
not just the black and white ones?

I am beginning to suspect that some component is malfunctioning and that
black jobs does not send an activation signal to the fuser or however this
thing works....

Any ideas about this problem?
