My computer overheats and freezes

First, this isn't a Windows 7 problem. But we can address anyway.

To troubleshoot, we need the basic system specifications for your system. We also need to know if you are overclocking anything (if so, stop and revert back to stock speeds until the heating problem is resolved).

Make sure you list the make/model of your video card and power supply. It would also be useful to know what case you are using and the make/model of your heatsink/fan (if aftermarket).

Please clarify.
