As part of our "Addict Tip" series, we have posted a walkthrough on how to
use your Pocket PC and desktop to optimally position your router and
troubleshoot Wi-Fi "dead zones"
Since positioning a router for optimum end user reception is typically a
two man job or one that involves a whole lot of sneakernet, it would be
great to have a "self reporting" system that gives instant feedback while
positioning. Our walkthrough presents the "lazy" way one person can do
it using a Pocket PC. It involves using some remote desktop software
and the feedback of free Wi-Fi signal strength detection software on a
Pocket PC.
