Windows 7 wireless internet troubleshooting

Internet service provider: Sprint. Strong signal full bars. Sprint claims no problem on their end (tower, etc.) have tried 5 different wireless cards. HP laptop Pavilion. Windows 7. Rebooting, reconnecting, time of day, all have no effect. Sometimes works fine. Sometimes websites come up slow. A lot of the time web sites will not come up at all. Have Norton Virus. Tried turning norton off, no difference. Also have older HP laptop with windows xp. Happens on it too although not as bad. Going outside helps sometimes but not always.

could be another wi-fi interfer with signal try to change channel of your wi-fi

I'm not using wi-fi I keep my wi-fi turned off. I use a 3G Wireless Broadband Modem Sierra Wireless 598U

What he means there is possibly other wireless devices in your area that are interfering, try swapping your card/router to a different channel to see if it clears up the issue.

I may be the dumbest guy on the planet but I typed in 192.168.1.1 and got popup box to enter username and password. Trie admin/admin, etc. and noting accepted. How do I get into where I can change the channel?

Also I am NOT using a wireless router. This is one laptop computer with one wireless mobile broadband usb modem. Thanks
