All things philips owns patents on. most of their patents are in things which havn't yet come out.

i doubt they would get away with doing advertising in such a way. it would just fuel an even larger move to the internet.

It's just as bad as them showing commercials before the damn previews at the movie theaters. That pisses me off.

I was interviewed along with a friend to be in the local paper about it. I was against it and they told me they were looking for positive support on it.. they told me I would not be quoted in the paper. Bastards.

IMO, if a movie is listed to start @ 8:00, THE MOVIE should be on @ 8:00. That said, if they have previews (actual movie previews) that start @ 8:00, I'm OK with that. If they have "regular commercials" before 8:00, I'm OK with that too... The lights are on, people are talking, whatever...

OR, if they showed those commercials and the movie tickets went from $9 to $6, That'd be OK too...
