The Canon iP4000 printer in Europe and the UK support printing on
DVD's/CD's but the US version doesn't. From the little bit of data
I've been able to find, I surmise that the hardware is there, it's
only the drivers that prevent this from happening (can you say
RIAA/MPAA anyone?). Anyone have the UK/European drivers that I could
try? Also, if you have the UK/European version, can you contact me or
give me more info on how the DVD/CD printing works?

Thanks.

Wish it would be that easy, but there are also hardware differences

Can you elaborate on the hardware differences? Inquiring minds want to know...

There are some physical differences (changes to) hardware.
