I'm not sure if this is a printer problem or windows. At about the
same time I lost my sound device and printers. I am running winxp pro
with amd duron, 700meg ram,(xp pro sp1), HP 3745 deskjet.
Control panel says I have no audio devices, no printers show up in
the printers section(not even the fax modem).
I uninstalled the HP and tried to reinstall. The error message said
the RPC server is unavaiable. I tried to dble click the hpp icon in
my computer and got: Error: Print spooler(spooler): Service cannot
be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no
enabled devices associated with it.
I went to KB and copied a script to determine the spooler status but
I don't know how to use scripts!
Clicking the Add Printer action in My Computer gets me an opertion
cannot be performed message.
Are these problems related?
Are they hardware or software?
