I apologise if similar advise has been posted on this forum. I have an iPAQ
PPC 2210. I plan to buy a navigation system such as NAVMAN or Tom Tom that I
can use seemlessly, in car, with my PPC. Which is the better of the 2 makes,
and value for money. Keep it simple guys as I am fairly green on these
matters.

I use Navman which is OK,BUT map database is inconsistant, it(like
Autoroute 2004) does not show M6 Toll whereas it DOES show the year old+
Nesscliffe bypass(A5,Shropshire, N of Shrewsbury). I believe this is not
the case with TomTom 3. I suspect a live demo is the only way you could
make an informed decision., but that in itself may take some arranging.
Navman comes with ALL of Europe as standard, I'm not sure if this is the
case with TT.

Try this site to help you make up your mind, not just for UK residents
contributors from the globe.

Still the best site around for information and any questions you may have. I
have a 2210 with TT3 and there are limitations including the problems with
the M6 in the UK.

Hi Dilly,

I'm using TomTom and am very pleased with the system. I'm using the BT
version, so I can take it for walking in the city or on my bike. Even
the smallest streets are available and the card is quite up2date. Also
the free included roadmap of western europe is very good. Until now I
found every village, however not all streets in all villages are
included, in this case you'll have to buy the extra maps.
I do not own navman so I can not make a comparison.
