What to do when desktop screen goes blank after i login

i just installed a theme in windows 8 and it asked for restart. i restarted it. i gave the password when logon screen appeared but desktop goes blank and black with no explorer nothing.... please could you help me.

I'm not too familiar with Win8, but maybe this can get you started. Open up the Task Manager, and look at menu options to start a new task. Type "Explorer" in it and hit enter. If this brings back the UI, use this opportunity to change or remove the theme. I don't want to speculate any further cuz I haven't played with Win8 yet.
