Mixing RAM speeds?

(1) What will happen if I run 2 sticks of 256k sdram, one pc100 and one
pc133?

(2) If it is possible, am I better staying as I am now (1x128k and
1x256k, both pc133) or going to the situation as in (1) above?

(ECS k7s5a and athlon xp2000, mostly just for surfing. Mobo only takes 2
sdrams.)

The pc133 will slow down to the pc100. yes it wil work.

Both will need to run at PC100 speeds.

Depends. How much RAM are you actually using?

What OS are you using?

And can't run the RAM at PC100 speeds without running the processor
at 100MHz FSB. I'd stick with 384M of PC133. Or better still, buy a 512M
stick of PC2100 or PC2700 to go into it, and dump that SDRAM.

They will both run at pc100 speed. Shouldn't be any problems.

The larger amount of RAM should outway the loss of speed due to
the drop from pc133 to pc100.

I may be wrong, but you have to have a MB that specifically runs 133. Almost
all the old boards run 100 and most people pay extra thinking that they "go
faster" when they really are running at 100. Comment? Thanks.
