Hi,
I am using windows Me but the problem is everytime i try to
check Microsoft automatic update site for current update,
browser window gets freezed. It shows a message do you
want to install and run this product? After i click yes
nothing happens. Looking for solution.

Repost in our sister MS ng, "microsoft.public.windowsupdate", available
from the server, msnews.microsoft.com.

Inform them if the failing "product installation" is the newer "scan
update", which scans your computer history for installed updates.

This could be your firewall spooking. Are you using Kerio?
In the URL field of your browser, just add the letter "s" to the http:// so
that it instead reads https://.
The "s" stands for "secure" and Kerio will allow connection.
