Firefox is the browser portion of Mozilla as a stand alone
application. It is almost identical to Mozilla. Requires less space
on the hard drive - less time to download and you can use a different
mail reader.
Thunderbird is the stand-alone mail/news reader.
Mozilla is the browser and mail and newsreader bundled together (like
Netscape Communicator)
