Printerserver and Epsonstatusmonitor3 software ?

I've a small network where 3 computers are connected on a Linksys router in
the gateway mode and a speedtouch dsl modem with a hardwarefirewall.
Wan is installed on dhcp and the 3 Lan computers have there own ip adresses.

I've now also a Trendnet T100-P2U1P
(1Parallel en 2 USB ports) printerserver with its own IP adress connected to
the Linksys. On the printerserver are 2 Epson printers (1 Aculaser900 and 1
StylusPhoto deskjet890) with USB connected.
So far so good, no problems with printing from all the computers.

The problem is that the Epsonstatusmonitor3 is not working and allways gives
a "Connection error".

Who has an idea how to solve this problem ?
