I have an hp LaserJet 3030 All-in-one printer.
I am running Windows 98 Second Edition.
All of the HP drivers, etc., were downloaded and installed after
2004 September 10.
I am trying to print from the application LuraTech LuraDocument
Capture Version 4.0.01.01. This is a 2002 version.
When I print using the hp LaserJet 3030 PCL6 interface there is
no problem.
However, when I print using my usual default "printer",
LaserJet 3030 PS, I only see the bottom few inches of the page that is
being printed.
Exactly how is printed much depends on whether I use print Original
Size or Fit to Page. The bottom of the part that is printed is at
about the proper location (The original is about 8.5" x 7", and the
bottom of the part that is printed is about 2.5 inches from the bottom
of the 8.5" x 11" page. This is as expected since there is another
problem which makes the top margin too big.)
The printer thinks for a while and then prints the entire
page at once, rather than printing some, waiting and then printing
some more.
It therefore appears that the printer runs out of memory and loses
the top of the page. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed the
problem.
The original BMP file that was used to make the LuraDocument file
prints correctly using JASC Paint Shop Pro V7.0, given that the
printed image has to lie within the printable area of the page,
which is about 1/4" less than 8.5" wide. When the document is
printed from PSP the printer also thinks for a while before printing,
and then prints seemingly all at once - so it seems that the entire
page image will fit in the printer memory, but it may be that data
is being transmitted while the first part of the page prints.
