I have a Windows Millenium operating system.

Lately, my computer doesn't completely load on 'start-up'. It only goes as
far as showing Task Scheduler Service Window. I try Control, Alt., Delete
and most of the time that doesn't help and I must push the 'Re-set' button.
'Windows' then does load up but only after the Scan Disk window appears which
states 'improper Shutdown Detected. Checking disk for errors'.

I recently deleted the following Temporary Internet files: Cookies, all
filesin Temporary Internet folder and all offline content stored locally.
Would those deletions have any effect and, if so, advise me how to re-instate
any necessary items?

Would appreciate any advice you can give me. Many thanks.

P.S. - I sent this message yesterday but cannot find it on the postings so
I thought I should send it again in case it was not received.
