wireless networking a desk top and wireless laptop togeather

i have xp home on desktop, ethernet to dsl router modem, and xp home on
laptop with 802.11g wireless do you think i can connect them? lol set up
network they reconise each other but will not allow access . and network
printer? only usb printer cannot any other way
im online with both and can do everything execpt file share and network
printer i clicked share this device no difference

please please please help me

Of course you can create a network with this setup. The fact that some
of the machines connect wirelessly has nothing to do with it. Since you
have XP Home on both machines, the easiest thing is to run the Network
Setup Wizard (Control Panel applet). Here are additional links to help
