how do i stop my desktop IP swapping IP with my laptop
e.g. my desktop was 192.168.0.2 now its changed to 192.168.0.3, likewise my
laptop was vice versa

Instead of using DHCP, assign a static IP address to each computer. Make sure
it's outside the range of the addresses allowed to be assigned by your DHCP
server (e.g., your router). For example, have the DHCP server start at
192.168.0.20, and you can assign your own addresses from 1 to 19.
