I am not able to access the Help section of Microsoft Money 2003. I receive
the error "Unable to load topic. Click here to try again." And, of course,
clicking again does nothing...

Here's what I have tried do far:
reinstall/repair of Money 2003
deleted temporary internet files, cookies and cleared history.
I read Microsoft Article ID : 312808. I tried installing the HTML Help
update. It didn't help.
I have also read and performed steps in Microsoft Article ID : 812755 - no
help there, either.

I already posted to Microsoft.public.money newsgroup, but regrettably I have
not been able to solve this problem.

I am running Windows ME 4.90.3000, and I have the current IE6 SP1 (recently
installed after IERadicator).

If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thank you.

If you used IEradicator did you follow the rest of the steps in Noel
Paton's page (http://www.btinternet.com/~winnoel/ReInIE.htm) or not? I
mentioned this in a previous post but don't recall having seen your reply.
Until you fix the many problems caused by using IEradicator I'm not
surprised to read you're having problems.

Yes, I completed the rest of those steps, and Internet Explorer works fine
now.

Microsoft Money 2003 works, too, with the only exception being I am not able
to access the Help section. I continue to receive the error "Unable to load
topic. Click here to try again." As I mentioned, clicking again does
nothing....

Perhaps only the Help file for Money is corrupted. Find it in the Money
folder and try to start it. If it fails, see if it can be refreshed from
the Money installation CD without reinstalling Money.

I found the help file in the Money folder and tried to start it:
"msmoney.chm". It failed. All I got is a blank "? help pane". I then
deleted it in case it was corrupt.

I extracted the original to my computer, off my original Money CD. However,
It doesn't work either! When I start it, all I get is the blank page.

So... I manually checked all of my other help files (*.chm files), and they
all work fine. The ONLY exception is msmoney.chm.

I tried to start it directly from the installation CD, no luck there,
either!

I'm stumped! Please help, if you have any more suggestions.

Thank you.

It doesn't work when I open it. It brings up a blank screen with the

I am as stumped as you, and recommend speaking to MS Money support, since
only their Help file is failing to show.

HU, what is the size of the (downloaded) msmoney.chm file and are you able
to see any contents using a text viewer e.g. notepad, etc?

I don't have a copy of Money 2003 so I can't compare it for you, but from
what you are reporting, it 'appears' to be an empty file.

I think Jacks advice is probably best.

this juncture, the problem is still unresolved. They are looking into it. I
hope to hear back from them in a day or two.
