Does anyone knows how the Ansys 5.5.1 Server and Client work on the same machine?

for WinMe, the following settings failed
TCP/IP 192.168.0.1 and ANSYS_ELMHOST=192.168.0.1
TCP/IP auto=127.0.0.1 and ANSYS_ELMHOST=127.0.0.1
TCP/IP auto=127.0.0.1 and ANSYS_ELMHOST=not set

for Win2k, TCP/IP does not work 100%. When TCP/IP=192.168.0.1 it failed to response to dos prompt PING. When pinging the host name the loopback 127.0.0.1 appeared. Why?

The following settings failed in Win2k
TCP/IP 192.168.0.1 and ANSYS_ELMHOST=192.168.0.1 (obviously)
TCP/IP auto=127.0.0.1 and ANSYS_ELMHOST=127.0.0.1
TCP/IP auto=127.0.0.1 and ANSYS_ELMHOST=not set

License Manager reported active and ON, license key installed. The problem description is it shuts itself down after 5 to 10 mins.

Any help appreciated. Thank you.
