Actually the aviation industry is doing ok. It's the airline industry that's in trouble. There has been a decent spike in private aviation, either peple hiring private pilots/planes or buying/renting planes to fly themselves all over creation. This is mostly due to the invasive TSA procedures and the abuse you mentioned dog.

Yes, so a FAR 135 charter carrier. 121 is the scheduled airline reg.
That I can see being the most lucrative and safest form of air travel. What jihadist wants to bard a cessna 175 and fly it into a building? What will he get out of it.
Also, the government can still regulate to protect passengers, aircrew, and the aircraft by following all FAR guided by the FAA without harming private business.
You should consider starting a business oldman?

Who needs mega bucks when you have the average investor?!
Set up a corporation, and sell some corporate bonds set at a decent coupon rate. That is better and safer than the stock market, IMHO. Either that, or have a contract agreement with investors to get XX% of initial revenue after taxes of share from the company. No corporation should be burdened by any BoD.
I wish I could start a business, but I have no one to back me up and support me. I would love a partnership with someone. Someone I could trust to help e, where we share ideas and cooperate to meet both mutual agreement.
However, that is a pipe dream in the world of the free market.
