lexmark refilling

bought a reputable printer refill on ebay that is supposed to correspond
with the cartridges...filled up all 3 black ones-- no luck..did all the
things I was supposed to do to get it to come out..then I filled color one--
worked fine-- refilled it b4 it ran out-- comes out of the cartridge
visually but printer not printing and barely shows up on test page and
cleaned a gadzillion times...now I am wondering if the printer is screwed
up..
darn cartridges are such a rip off
Any advice on getting these babies going??
Maybe something on printer end?
