I purchased a jump drive but my P.C. does not recogize this device. It says
that I need to reinstall the driver from the Millenium CD that came with the
dell P.C. I have tried to do this through the device manager on the control
panel but was not successful. I recently reinstalled the operating system and
wonder if I might need to rename a file somewhere or if the P.C. (about 5
years old) is just too old to support this device? There is no driver
available from the manufacturer, it should just be a matter of pluging it in
and using it?

What exactly did it say was needed. Could be something that is in your CAB
files.

Is said that the Universal Serial Bus Controller is not installed?

Hi Cyncerlee......this may be beyond my capabilities, but check in Device
Manager first to see if there is one listed.
Right click on My Computer, then Properties, then Device Manager.....see if
there is a Universal Serial Bus Controller listed there and click on the
plus sign beside it. You can then check to see if it is working or
not......which it seems not to be.
