Unable to download updates from windows site

Hi, i am using windows me and whenever i try and download updates from the
windows site, i get a error something along the lines:

Modname rpcrt4.dll Unable to download updates from windows site.

I am using Internet Explorer6. I am not sure how this error came about and
what could have caused it.

Can anyone help me.

Open the Windows Update.log found in the WINDOWS directory with Notepad.
Copy&paste the last 20 or so lines to your reponse. We only need the
last 20 or so lines, not the entire log.
