Hi there,
Ive had a nightmarish ride with my computer but my current problem is
i have a new ABit VA-20 Mobo and when i run windows 2000 installer
the computer just turns itself off! It says all the "loading" bits
and then when it says starting windows, just turns off. WIndows XP
gets past starting windows and gets to the screen saying "press enter
to install XP, R to repair an installation etc" and then turns off.
Im currently planning on dousing it in petrol and setting fire to it
as this may at least afford me 2 mins of enjoyment. However, any
alternate ideas would be appreciated!

What PSU? Make and rating, that CPU is 65W! Do you have suitable cooler?
Should be rated for T-bird 1.4 or Athlon XP3000. Make sure is well seated on
CPU. What memory? FSB should be 133 with DDR266/PC2100. Have you tried with
onboard display? If monitor connected to MX400, have you disabled onboard?
Mike.

HAve tried using onbard graphics, still crashes, supposedly it auto
detects an AGP card and will turn off onboard, couldnt find a bios
setting apart from which to try first: PCI, AGP or onboard.
Reckon its worth getting some new thermal paste and re-placing
CPu?
As for RAM can';t find an option for RAM FSB only the CPU FSB. Ram is
DDR 3200 and has "400 Mhz" on it.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
