hi everyone!
this is a newbie question
a friend of mine recently made a gift to me, it was a
compaq ipaq 3800 series (a little old, but is free :) )
and i want to know what its the latest version of media
player i can install to it and what kind of files will it
be able to play!
thanks in advance!

depends on what operating system you have, more than likely it is PPC2002
which, I believe can be upgraded to media player 8.5. version 9 is only
available as part of WM2003 which you would need to purchase from HP.

Windows media player will only play windows media files (.wma .wmv) and
mp3's you might want to look at pocketMVP, Betaplayer, and PocketTV, all
three offer free versions and will play a wide variety of formats.
