hp ipaq can't close program in rom

How the hell do I close an application? I click the x and it doesnt
really close.

I've also got an exe file on the desktop which i can't get rid of. I
uninstalled the softare and the icon stayed there

The best way is to go to System>Memory>Running Applications. From here you
can select close or close all on applications that are running.

Close app - Start->Settings->System->Memory->Running Programs

Delete from desktop - Use File Explorer and delete it.

what directory is the desktop in? ( couldn't find a windows\desktop directory)
