I am using Windows ME and SBC DSL service. When I click "Start|Search|For
Files or Folder" I no longer get the search dialog box. The screen returns
to whatever is displayed. I would appreciate any help that could be
provided.
Thanks, Al

Hi Al
Have you been using Tweakui?
Please note:
1) Do not change the first icon from "My Documents" on the Desktop tab
2) Do not uncheck: Search Results on the Desktop tab
3) Do not hide the Tweak UI icon on the Control Panel tab
4) Do not uncheck: Show Control Panel on Start Menu on the IE tab
5) Do not uncheck: Shell enhancements on the IE tab
6) To move "My Documents" folder, right-click on the Folder, and click
Properties.

Thanks, but I have never used Tweakui. I have a serious linking problem.
I can receive and read an Outlook Express e-mail, but if there was a website
linked within
the e-mail that I wanted to go out to and I clicked on it, I was unable to
get there. Now, I can eventually get there, but it goes very slowly. But,
if I try to read a message in Hotmail e-mail and click on a link, the
computer hangs up and I have to do a CTRL/ALT/DELETE. I get a message that
says "Hotmail message - IE not responding." I have to end the task. SBC
Yahoo e-mail linking also doesn’t work from Internet Explorer. When I run
Mozilla Firefox, it works o.k. because I can click on a link in a Hotmail
message, Outlook Express or SBC Yahoo and get to the website.
