Unable To Open Folders With Left Mouse Click

G'day.

I am unable to open folders from within a window, ('My Documents' for
instance), by left clicking. Left clicking only brings up the 'Open with'
window. Instead I have to right click on the folder I wish to open, and
select Open from the subsequent menu. Two 'Open's' appear in the right
click menu, one of which is bolded, clicking on the wrong one brings up the
'Open with' window again.

Your assistance in resolving this problem is appreciated.
