What's the best router that gives you the best bang for your buck out there? I might be changing to cable after I move in a week or two, or I might keep my DSL. Any router that will work good for both and provide a very high safety measure? Er, I don't plan on spending more than 70 for it :(

My best friend and I both just bought Siemens SS2604 Routers...

They cost $30..

I've never seen a router that installed so painlessly...

Especially since I'm on Cable...and he's on DSL and both connections worked perfectly...

We setup Network sharing on his two computers in less than 20 mins...

And it's got a firewall built in that you can turn on, which we didn't because we run ZoneAlarm...

But it was a breeze to get them both up and running...

Linksys all the way, unless you're a CCNA and have enough cash left for a 1600 with a Pix or something.

I currently use a D-Link DI-704 and I absolutely hate it, to the point where I would never buy a d-link again!

How ever I've worked with various linksys gateways and they are 100 times better. The proof is in the putting, cisco even bought linksys not to long ago.
