I am not an expert in networks, so excuse me if this question is not a very smart one. I have a Windows NT domain and I want to setup a BDC, however we want to use Windows 2003 server. Is this possible and how. If it is not possible, what would you guys recommend. Maybe two 2003 DC?. I really appreciate your help as this is probably the most exciting project I've been given so far.

Win 2k3 can not be a BDC. The notion of a PDC/BDC is confined to NT 4.0.
Active Directory (Win 2k Win 2k3) domains operate in a multimaster
environment except for 5 FSMO roles which are 1 to a domain/forest.

I would remove Win2k3 from the new server, install NT 4.0 on it as a BDC
while connected to your existing network, promote to PDC then upgrade to Win
2k3. This will allow the Win 2k3 server to hold the PDC emulator role and
also allow your previous NT 4.0 PDC (now BDC) to remain in the domain as a
NT 4.0 BDC.

This is just a rough outline of what needs to be done. Active Directory
should not be taken lightly. If you don't have that much experience with AD
you might consider having a consultant come out and do the upgrade or take a
couple of weeks and read up on Win 2k3 and AD. You have to make some
decisions during setup that may take a format and reinstall to recover from.
You should also read up on DNS and AD. Your AD domain will not function
properly unless DNS is setup correctly.
