Laser A4 from £450, A3 £2100. The edge size is only 50% larger ( from 21cm
to 30cm ) yet the price is four times. Is it just down to economies of scale
?

To some extent, but also the A3 ones tend to be more fully featured and
designed for larger workloads. Mostly it would be a fairer comparison to
compare a £2k A3 laser to a £1k A4 one, rather than a £200/£300 machine.

Can appreciate that now ! although coping with larger quantities, does that
make them more robust ?? i.e. industrial use as opposed to home / personal
use.
