I recently had a major computer crash and have had to reinstall lion and every time that I have tried to do a complete restore from time machine (using the wifi time capsule) it says it will take 29 hours so I am selectively dragging files over. The only files I haven't be able to find are the safari bookmarks and entourage contacts and saved folders. From the research i have done people are saying that the bookmarks are in ~/Library/Safari which I can only access through the "go to folder" function in finder. When I try to search for the file in time machine it doesn't show up and when I try to navigate to the library the "Safari" folder isn't there. I have also tried using reveal hidden files commands in Terminal and all the has done is revealed various other files that I now can't hide again. So now I have two problems:
1. Where are the safari bookmarks and Entourage contacts and saved emails in Time Machine Backups?
2. And How do I hide the Hidden "files" again once this is down with?
