I have a laptop from work with WXP Pro, Cisco Aironet 350 wireless card and
home wireless b/g network, WEP encryption. I bring the laptop home, change
the profile to home network (inc correct WEP info) and immed connect to the
network:
connect status = associated
link quality = good to excellent

Open browser, connected to Google first time. Then nothing. After that, all
url's return "page can't be displayed"

Can ping loopback.
Can ping laptop's IP address
Fails in ping to default gateway

When I run IPCONFIG it mentions "media disconnected" Can't release or renew.

Works fine at work on wireless network.

Any suggestions?

Looks like a problem in security config (WEP, WPA or whatever you have).

Hi
"connect status = associated

Never the less the above does not mean that you actually have a functional
Connection.

This is a work machine. Have it been set up by your company IT?
Have they installed any specific security software, VPN and so on?
If so better not to touch it.
