Windows hangs up on logon screen

I just finished installing updates from microsoft and restarted my computer, it boots to a blank windows 7 screen without my username and a moveable mouse, i also ran diagnostics everything passed,,and it wont let me boot to safe mode, i press f8 and it just trys to boot like normal, anyone have any ideas?

Boot with the Windows 7 DVD and conduct a Repair (you will be prompted). If there is a Windows problem, this procedure may correct it.
